MASON CITY — The Mason City Earth Day Committee is always looking for more members to help plan the annual Earth Day festivities.

The committee has about 12 active members. Volunteers are always needed.

The committee could especially use someone who is interested in grant writing or who wants to help raise funds. The committee also needs people who are interested in helping to organize the events.

The committee meets monthly from January through April. Meetings are usually held at the Mason City Parks and Recreation office over the lunch hour. Anyone interested in taking part should contact Mason City Volunteer Coordinator Mary Zishka at City Hall, 421-3372.
