The Mason City Earth Day Committee was formed in 1993 and consists of a diverse group of people who are passionate about making Mason City the most beautiful community possible. The committee members are from a variety of businesses,  schools, organizations, non-profit groups and community neighborhoods in Mason City.

There are about a dozen active committee members who work about four months out of the year to organize environmental programs and a litter clean-up project in Mason City.

The goal of the committee is to promote earth stewardship in our community. Through educational programs, displays, and public service announcements, the committee is able to involve the community in environmental education efforts.

We rely on the support our residents, the city, area businesses and local organizations to help us in our efforts. We thank the many businesses that continue to support us financially and with in-kind donations.
